“Yours in the E.C.” was a shortened version of yours in the everlasting covenant. This statement was common among the British Saints. Where was it likely to see or hear this saying?
a.                  In prayers
b.                  When they bid each other farewell
c.                   At the end of letters
d.                  At the end of hymns
Yesterday’s answer:
D   20
From the 1837 mission to England:   With only a short time remaining before their return to America, word spread that the apostles would be leaving, and great numbers flocked to hear them. They also went from house to house in Preston, calling upon people to repent and baptizing as many as twenty in a day. The faith of the Saints was rewarded when the apostles were able to heal many of their sick.
In the villages, too, the Spirit continued strong. In a Baptist church in Barnaldwick, Elders Kimball and Hyde preached to several hundred people, and their message touched the hearts not only of the congregation but also of the minister. Even after the meeting finally broke up, conversations continued until nearly dawn. They could scarcely tear themselves away, and when they did so, the villages “wept like little children.”
