What did one Stake President suggest would lengthen the days of the Saint’s persecution if they didn’t do what?
a.                   Hold Family Home Evening
b.                   Pay tithing
c.                   Obey the Word of Wisdom
d.                   Temple attendance
Yesterday’s answer:
D   The St. George Temple
John Taylor’s reference to the St. George Temple as “the first temple” since Enoch to include all the ordinances of the Melchizedek Priesthood likely pertains to the fact that endowments for the dead began in St. George, Utah, on January 11, 1877. While the Kirtland Temple was a place of preparatory washings and anointings, and the Nauvoo Temple one of baptisms for the dead and endowments and sealing for the living, it was in the St. George Temple where endowments for the dead commenced.
