Adding Polly to his Name

Why did James Brown add Polly as his middle name?

a.                  To distinguish himself from the two other James Browns in the Mormon Battalion

b.                  So that he would never forget his wife

c.                   So that he would never forget his daughter

From the 1839 mission to England:   The apostles also appreciated the skills of the English in art and crafts. Some of them had portraits painted before they left for home, and Brigham Young himself a fine craftsman, ordered a handmade watch from Henry Connor, a watchmaker and the first LDS convert in London. He had the twelve letters of his name placed around the face of the watch instead of the twelve numerals.
