From the life of Caroline Trott Godfrey:   She joined the Church in 1847, being one of the first converts to “Mormonism” in the neighborhood where she live. Two weeks after her baptism she was approached by a sectarian minister who endeavored to poison her mind against the gospel, but his efforts only evoked from her the following reply: “Mr. Allan, I have learned more from these people in two weeks than you could have taught me in forty years.”
