a.                  By the photograph she had taken of him
b.                  By the identifying mark over his left eyebrow
c.                   By the photograph she took of him in her mind
d.                  By his testimony
Yesterday’s answer:
A   34
A large number of other Negroes are known to have been in subsequent pioneer companies coming to the valley as servants accompanying southern families. One pioneer company of Mississippi Saints of 1848 lists 57 “white persons” and 34 “colored persons.” In some cases the colored people were baptized along with their owners; in other cases they were accompanying the family as servants or slave. Many of these Blacks eventually left Utah and went to live in California which was free territory. Hark Lay and Oscar Crosby belonged to this latter group.
