From
the life of Willard Richards: Willard
Richards, age thirty-five was born and reared in Massachusetts. He was well
educated and before his conversion practiced medicine in Boston. Deeply
religious in nature, he became disillusioned with the church of the day but
continued to believe that one day he would find a church that taught the full
truth. In 1835 he received a copy of the Book of Mormon and, after reading it
twice in ten days, he was convinced of its authenticity.
