Let’s
face it, word gets around, and sometimes we believe much of what we haven’t
seen. It’s been this way since the days of Adam. Nauvoo was no different. There
were many false reports of this city, and many that had not been there believed

In February of 1875 Elder Wilford Woodruff
performs the marriage sealing of Sagwitch and Mogogah and of Ohetocump (James
Laman) and Minnie, two Shoshone Indian couples in the Endowment House on the
Temple Block in Salt Lake City; these are the first sealing’s of American
Indian couples.
