Prejudiced Perception

Let’s face it, word gets around, and sometimes we believe much of what we haven’t seen. It’s been this way since the days of Adam. Nauvoo was no different. There were many false reports of this city, and many that had not been there believed the reports. What was one of the false perceptions that Dan Jones believed about the city before he became a member of the Church?

a.      A stone wall surrounded the city

b.      The city couldn’t build enough jails to house all the criminals

c.       There were gyms in all the Church buildings

d.      The Mormons were kidnapping Missourians as slaves

Yesterday’s answer:

(C)   Wilford Woodruff

In February of 1875 Elder Wilford Woodruff performs the marriage sealing of Sagwitch and Mogogah and of Ohetocump (James Laman) and Minnie, two Shoshone Indian couples in the Endowment House on the Temple Block in Salt Lake City; these are the first sealing’s of American Indian couples.
