Reading alleged history

In Doctrines of Salvation, Joseph Fielding Smith elaborates on what he refers to as “alleged history.” He shares the story from an eastern magazine that tells of a time when a one legged man asked Brigham Young to restore his leg. What was Brigham’s answer?

a.      He would restore the man’s leg

b.      He couldn’t do it

c.       If he restored his leg, he would have three legs in the resurrection

d.      Only if he would commit to baptism

Yesterday’s answer:

(D)   Alvin and William

Joseph Smith Jr. had five brothers (Alvin, Hyrum, Samuel, Don Carlos, and William). Winter Quarters boasted 16 named streets, four of which were named after the Smith brothers. The four streets were Joseph Str., Hyrum Str., Samuel Str., and Carlos Str.
