Maybe the Salt Lake Valley isn’t the Place

Hosea Stout

Even when the Saints were at Winter Quarters, there still seemed to be some confusion of the final resting place. According to Hosea Stout, where were the Saints to settle after their stay at Winter Quarters?

a.       Vancouver Island

b.      The head of the Yellowstone

c.       The Idaho Falls area

d.      The St. George area

Yesterday’s answer:

D.   All of the above

From the journal of Hosea Stout in reference to Dr. Willard Richards home in Winter Quarters: “Doctor Willard Richards has a house with 8 sides and covered with dirt, and forms an oval and is called by the names of the Octagon, potato heap, apple heap, coal pit, round house, The doctors den.”
