Yesterday’s answer:
Another important port for Latter-day Saint immigration was Philadelphia, where Dominico Bodrero landed in 1855. He was born in Lagnasco in the province of Cuneo, Italy, in 1826 on the Sabbath (Dominico), hence his name. Sometime after the death of his mother in 1848, young Dominico moved to Port of Marseille, France, where he learned French and changed the spelling of his name to Dominique Boudrero. One day he and some friends, armed with some spoiled vegetables, headed to a Latter-day Saint street meeting. They came to have some fun with the preachers from America, but as Dominique listened to the missionaries he quickly forgot his purpose and dropped the objects in his hands. Later he was baptized and apparently retuned to Italy, as his name appears on the Agrogna Branch records of the Italian Mission.
