When the
Saints entered the valley on Thursday, July 22, 1847, they camped the first
night by a stream. The next day they moved to another small stream (City Creek)
and set up camp. This is where they stayed and where Salt Lake City began. What
current location in Salt Lake City marks this second camp?
A) The new City Creek Center
B) The south-east corner of the temple
block
C) The Lion House
D) The location of the current
Conference Center
Yesterday’s answer:
(D) Getting children ready for church
I’m
sure there maybe some mothers out there who feel much the same as Mary Jane
Tanner. The following from her journal of Sunday February 10, 1878:
Today had passed as Sunday usually does. It takes the forenoon to get
the work done, and the children dressed ready for Sunday School, with an
unlimited amount of scolding.
