Quaker women
We as
members of the Church have become accustomed to our classification as “Mormons.”
It’s a nickname given to the Church dating back to the earliest years of this
dispensation. However, we’re not the only religious group of people that are
better known by their nickname than the actual official name of the Church. For
instance, certain evangelical groups have been dubbed “Holy Rollers.” The “Quakers”
also share the same distinction. What religious body is known by the nickname “Quaker”?
A) Pentecostal
B) Anglican
C) The Society of Friends
D) Seventh Day Adventist
Yesterdays answer:
(D) Willard Richards
The only apostle to be ordained outside the
confines of the United States was Willard Richards on April 14, 1840 at
Preston, England. Those who placed their hands on his head were Brigham Young,
Heber C. Kimball, Parley P. Pratt, Orson Pratt, Wilford Woodruff, George A.
Smith, and John Taylor.
