D   After she read the Book of Mormon
Margaret Lovina Wilson Bennett:   Margaret Wilson was married to Thomas McGuire Bennett on November 9, 1837. They were living in a one-room log cabin when she had an interesting experience:
One day while her husband was away, she heard a knock on the door. She opened it to a stranger, an old man with a white beard. He had a walking stick with a small bundle tied on the end. He asked for food and drink and she gave it willingly. Then he asked if he might lay down on the floor and sleep a while. She offered him a bed, but he declined and lay down with his bundle under his head. When he awoke he thanked her for her kindness and said, “I bless you with the blessings of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. You will never want for bread.” He left and she closed the door, she immediately wondered where he had gone. But she could not see him anywhere. It was also strange that she had just as much food left as when he came, and she never wanted for food all her remaining years.
Sometime later, missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints came and left them a Book of Mormon. When she read it she knew who the stranger was, and they soon joined the Church. They moved to the Nauvoo area and became well acquainted with the Prophet and his brother. They were grief stricken when the Smiths were martyred.
