Gentile, Oliver Ormsby desired to marry Sarah Peacock of Manti. Her parents wouldn’t allow  it, however, after his persistence, they decided to ask Brigham Young if he would allow it. Brigham gave his blessings for the young couple to marry in 1865. Eventually Oliver did join the church, what was the event that caused him to join?

She suffered from sick headaches and occasionally had to remain in bed for several days. On one of those occasion a call came for her to wait upon a woman who suffered from a similar ailment. Jody’s husband and children objected, but the man was insistent, saying that if Aunt Jody would just come and go to bed in the same room, his wife would get better. . . .The man took her to his home. Later that day, being anxious about their mother, Josephine’s daughters went to see how she was doing. Her patient was asleep, and their mother was resting in another bed.
