Iosepa (Hawaiian for Joseph) was a colony established near Skull Valley in Tooele County in 1889 for Hawaiian Saints who had immigrated to Utah. . A Pioneer Day was celebrated there each year on August 28, to celebrate the anniversary of the Hawaiian Saints in Skull Valley. Each year dignitaries of Church and state would visit the three-day celebration.
